About Me

Hi, my name is Teri Dyson-Blackmon. I have been a licensed Cosmetologist for 30 years or more and I am still passionate about my profession. At a young age I was introduced into this profession by my dad, Art Dyson who founded “Soul Scissors”. I began my career in New York as a receptionist at a Soul Scissors Salon that opened on 57th street.

I managed and then supervised many locations from opening new locations to rebuilding the business with great customer service skills. In 1985 I moved back to California and received my license. Since that time I have worked along side my late husband, dad and sisters. I have owned and operated several locations.

My love and passion for hair extends over many years and hair care is the utmost priority. While aiming to please I have worked on different hair textures and mastered different hair techniques along with appropriate conditioner so that the client can receive great results.

Styling hair with integrity along with loyalty and fairness is my priority. I am a hard worker, dependable, detailed and prompt.
